Love in This Age is So Complicated

I realized that the older we get, the more complicated it is when it comes to love (well almost about everything but yea let's talk about love now).

There are so many criteria, so many thoughts that needs to be put, so many factors, let's say; studies, money, work, social life, religion, parents, friends, etc.

See? So many.

When we're still a kid, falling in love is simple maybe because the person is handsome or pretty, or simply because s/he is smart, s/he play the sports/music.

I think it is also because the older we get the more we saw (or even experienced ourselves), the hurt, the pain...wow. Sometimes its....unbearable. Believe me, I and most people who have been through broken hearts knew. 

The walk we took when our heart is broken, is like walking on a path full of broken glasses. I mean its even better because it bleeds, the pain is real unlike the pain caused by a broken heart. Physical pain sometimes is so much easier to bear with than an emotional one. 

The ability our body have to heal itself amazes me every damn time, but the mind never forget what it 'feels' like to be in pain. It sucks.

Broken hearts caused you doubt yourself and others. If you're a she then you'll doubt him, vice versa. It was never easy to learn how to trust again. I don't think we ever fully recovered from a broken heart.

To get to know a person again...whew, it took so much energy and -ahem- time. Sometimes we think "will it be worth it though?" 

Anyway....

At this age (me, being 23 this year) there are so many things that we would think through first before we get serious with someone. Things got more complicated yet simplified at the same time. Vision, mission, etc.

Does s/he wants to get married? Does s/he not? 

What's his/her thought about stuff?

How does s/he value life? 

What's his/her opinion about certain issue? What about my issues? 

See, so complicated. But still its somehow very simple. I don't know how to explain it further, but I bet you will get what I meant. He.
