#ReviewNotReview Watched: New City, New Me? - Emily in Paris (Season 1, 2020)

     Bonjour!

Here I am again with #ReviewBukanReview, I just watched Emily in Paris, for the record the show aired today, and I'm literally binge-watching it. Ugh. I want more! Here's a bit of a synopsis - or not, Emily move to Paris for a job and the show is about her journey.

I just wanna point out the job Emily (Lily Collins) has, man I want that, it's practically my dream job. We're practically kinda the same, she has a master's in Communication just like me, but I'm still jobless - for now, #fingercrossed.
Anyhow, I thought at first that Emily is a pushover, but damn, the woman is her own man. She knows what she does and she does it well, her job. She has a great new friend - Mindy (Ashley Park) whom I totally loved too and a hot France man as a neighbor Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) - he has a beautiful eye, I can look at them all day and never get bored, I mean I just lost in his eyes.
I think what I like the most about the show is that I can feel related to Emily, I mean I rarely watch any show that has the kind of job she has - which I can totally relate to, I want a job like that (can I get an amen?). The adventure she had, I want that too.
I mean I know that moving to another country is pretty scary because its new, you began a whole new life, new place, and new people. It's kind of exciting. The idea of starting something new (insert a High School Musical - The Start of Something New here) is pretty amazing. I know it won't be easy, especially if you don't speak the language but I believe that things always get easier in time.

The chemistry among the stars was amazing, I really want myself a Mindy as a friend, she's carefree and fearless, you really need one friend like her in your life. As for Gabriel well he's hot, he is your typical kind-of nice but flirtatious neighbor, he's a rising young chef! But ugh, he has/had a girlfriend. The girlfriend has befriended Emily, Camielle (Camielle Razat), and you can't really hate her because she is nice :(
Emily and Gabriel is kind of a hypocrite, but who doesn't right? They clearly have the chem, the butterflies on their entire body when they touch or be near at each other (I'm a hopeless romantic, sorry), but I get it he has a girlfriend, kudos for Emily and Gabriel for holding back (spoiler alert: the 2 first kissing was kind of somehow a mistake so yeah). No cheaters for the main characters.
Emily's boss is gonna give you a Miranda Priestly vibe, wait I just realize as I'm typing, that this show kinda gives me the whole Devils Wear Prada vibe. Luc and Julien (Em's co-workers) is a scene stealer~ The whole co-workers have a very dysfunctional relationship but again, who doesn't right?
Oh, The scenery, the aesthetics, just beautiful. Paris is definitely a beautiful city, love and romance kind of city. I learn a lot about the Parisian culture from this show, and the language.....ugh sexy. I mean Paris is on my bucket list. The ending tho....damn talk about a cliffhanger. I need a season 2 ASAP! @ Netflix don't you dare cancel this one!!!!

See you on another post! Maybe.
